Com esse resultado, a dona da MG alcançou o sexto lugar na lista das maiores montadoras do planeta, registrando uma leve queda de 0,39%.
Já a antiga líder entre as chinesas sofreu um recuo expressivo de 15,73%, fechando o período com 1,81 milhão de unidades e caindo para a oitava posição geral.
Entre as duas gigantes asiáticas ficou a americana General Motors, ocupando a sétima colocação com 1,88 milhão de veículos vendidos. A GM teve alta de 0,21%, interrompendo um ciclo de quedas que vinha desde 2024.

A vice-liderança continuou com o Grupo Volkswagen, que fechou os primeiros seis meses com 4,13 milhões de entregas no mundo. A queda de 6,35% interrompeu o ritmo de recuperação que os alemães vinham demonstrando.
Fechando o pódio mundial, o grupo Hyundai-Kia totalizou 3,60 milhões de unidades negociadas, baixa de 1,58%. A Hyundai caiu 4,9% (1,96 milhão), enquanto a Kia subiu 2,7% (1,63 milhão).
Crescimento da Stellantis e outras marcas chinesas
A Aliança Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi garantiu a quarta colocação ao somar 2,97 milhões de emplacamentos, com recuo de 3,57%. A Renault ficou praticamente estável (-0,4%), a Nissan caiu 6,7% e a Mitsubishi somou 387 mil vendas.
Colada no quarto lugar, a Stellantis fechou o top 5 mundial com 2,96 milhões de veículos comercializados. Sob o comando de Antonio Filosa, o conglomerado cresceu 11,04%, sendo um dos poucos grupos ocidentais com saldo positivo no ano.
No grupo de marcas chinesas além da SAIC, a Geely cresceu 0,99% (1,42 milhão) e a Chery avançou 7,73% (1,36 milhão). A Changan foi na contramão ao cair 11,76%, somando 1,19 milhão de unidades.
Retração no segmento premium alemão
O mercado de carros de alto padrão enfrentou retração generalizada nos primeiros seis meses do ano. A BMW manteve a primeira colocação do nicho com 1,15 milhão de entregas, mesmo caindo 4,19%.
A Mercedes-Benz apareceu na segunda posição do setor premium com 837.200 veículos negociados, amargando a maior queda entre as alemãs (-22,21%). A Audi completou o trio com 727.200 emplacamentos, baixa de 8,41%.
