Uma travessia de 7.000 quilômetros pelo coração da floresta tropical ganha destaque na televisão. A bordo da Yamaha Lander Connected, o explorador Renato Castanho enfrenta terrenos desafiadores na segunda temporada da série “Expedicionários do Brasil – Amazônia”.
Com patrocínio master da Yamaha Motor do Brasil, o programa estreia no dia 17 de agosto, às 23h, na grade do canal BandSports.
A produção é dividida em cinco episódios de 40 minutos. As exibições acontecem sempre às segundas-feiras, com disponibilização posterior no serviço de streaming Newco Play.
Roteiro completo do sul ao extremo norte da região
Nesta nova fase, o documentarista parte do sul da Amazônia até o topo do Monte Roraima, na Tríplice Fronteira. A rota exige versatilidade para rodar em trechos pesados de areia, estradas de terra e trechos asfaltados.
O trajeto começa no Território Paresi e passa por Alta Floresta, no Mato Grosso, onde visita a Rede de Sementes. Em seguida, a expedição adentra o estado do Pará.
Vivências profundas e patrimônio sociocultural
Em solo paraense, Castanho percorre áreas próximas à BR-163 e visita territórios dos povos Kaiapó e Munduruku. O roteiro inclui também um sobrevoo pelo Mosaico da Terra do Meio.
Outra parada relevante ocorre na Floresta Nacional do Tapajós para investigar a famosa Terra Preta. Já em Belterra, o Museu de Ciências da Amazônia (MUCA) serve de palco para integrar ciência e saberes tradicionais.
Desafios físicos e imersão comunitária
Após passar pela Transamazônica e por Manaus, a expedição cruza a Gran Sabana rumo ao Monte Roraima. Ao longo do caminho, o explorador vivencia a rotina das populações locais.
As atividades incluem escalada em açaizeiro, mergulho em igapó atrás de tartarugas e pescarias tradicionais, incluindo uma conduzida exclusivamente por mulheres.
Integração entre ciência e conhecimento ancestral
Ao lado de um descendente indígena, Castanho pratica canoagem, arco e flecha, lutas e rituais locais. Ele realiza até mesmo uma sessão de kitesurf no encontro das águas.
O objetivo central do projeto é unir estudos científicos ao conhecimento dos Povos Originários, buscando soluções e caminhos para a preservação do ecossistema.
Apoio ao motociclismo de aventura
A iniciativa reforça a presença da marca em viagens de exploração pelo país. O projeto visa conectar o uso da motocicleta ao espírito de descoberta e preservação cultural.

A produtora responsável é a Expedição Filmes, criada em 1992 por Renato Castanho e especializada em conteúdos sobre natureza e esportes ao ar livre.
